Jane’s final stop on her Cyprus adventure was the Athena Beach, part of the Constantinou Bros group. The group has four hotels in Paphos – Pioneer, Asimina Suites, Athena Beach and Athena Royal – all set in prime beachfront locations with a wide choice of dining, room types and the option to upgrade to the Elite package (offering private check-in, preferred room allocation and added extras).
The Athena Beach, the largest of the group, caters well to both couples and families. The hotel offers a great variety of food outlets, multiple pools, entertainment and a dedicated adults-only area for those seeking a quieter atmosphere.
My superior sea view room was spacious, featuring both a bath and separate shower (though some rooms are shower only).
What really stood out was the food and the staff – both excellent. The buffet offered exceptional choice and, importantly, everything was consistently hot.
The hotel offers all board bases, however bed and breakfast worked perfectly for us. We enjoyed the flexibility to dine at the buffet when we wished, whilst also exploring the harbour, Old Town and nearby restaurants just across the road.
This is a great option in Paphos if you’re looking for a solid, well-located 4-star hotel.
