One happy family have recently returned from a fabulous holiday to Mexico - read all about their wonderful trip.
We’ve just got back from an amazing 10 days in Riviera Maya, Mexico, staying at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya, booked for us by Janaway Travel.
Mexico had been somewhere we’d wanted to visit as a family for a while, and the Hard Rock turned out to be a great choice for us. From the first day, we loved the atmosphere around the hotel. The pool area had such a good vibe during the day and there was always something going on, but you could still find somewhere to relax when you wanted to.
One of the biggest surprises was just how good Rock City, the kids club, was. We’ve been lucky enough to stay at some great family hotels over the years, but we all agreed this was probably the best kids club we’ve come across. The kids absolutely loved it and were more than happy to disappear off there, which obviously gave us a chance to enjoy a bit of peace by the pool as well!
We didn’t want to travel all the way to Mexico without seeing some of what the country has to offer, so we also visited Xcaret and Chichén Itzá. Xcaret was a brilliant day out with the kids, but Chichén Itzá was definitely the highlight of the trip for us. It had been on our bucket list for years, so actually being there and seeing it in person was pretty special and something we’ll always remember from this holiday.
A big thank you has to go to Janaway Travel for making the whole thing so easy. From booking the holiday through to travelling, everything was straightforward, and it was reassuring knowing they were always on hand if we needed anything. When you’re travelling abroad with two kids, having someone you can contact if you need help makes a real difference.
We came home with some brilliant memories, a bucket-list trip ticked off and two very happy kids. We’d definitely recommend Riviera Maya and the Hard Rock to other families - and a huge thank you to Janaway Travel for helping us put the whole trip together.
