Jane stayed at the Iberostar Waves in Herceg Novi, set in a beautiful location overlooking the stunning Bay of Kotor. Surrounded by water, with lovely views across the bay and mountains, you could almost imagine you were on a cruise ship, if it weren’t for all the walking up and down and around the resort! Read what else she has to say about this beautiful area.
Herceg Novi is a charming coastal town with a historic old town, pretty squares, fortresses and a relaxed Mediterranean feel.
During my stay, I enjoyed a private tour of Montenegro, visiting some of its most beautiful coastal destinations.
Perast is a picturesque little waterfront town, famous for its historic stone buildings and the tiny island church of Our Lady of the Rocks.
Kotor is a must-see, with its UNESCO-listed Old Town, winding cobbled streets, historic squares and dramatic mountain backdrop.
Tivat offers a stylish waterfront and a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere, while Porto Montenegro is known for its luxury yachts, designer boutiques, cafés and elegant marina.
Sadly, we experienced bad weather during our visit, but even under cloudy skies, you could see just how spectacular this part of the world is. The dramatic mountains, beautiful bays and charming coastal towns make Montenegro a wonderful destination to explore
