Vilamoura – The Algarve

Great for a quick weekend away for some sun, golf, tennis or food and drink! Just over 2 hours from the UK and a 20 minute transfer to Vilamoura , so within 3 hours with hand luggage you can be at your hotel with a Gin and Tonic (at 11 am) like me. Beautiful long beach for miles, a classic Marina with some lovely restaurants catering for all budgets and superb bars with music from karaoke, live bands or resident singers. Stockholm - What a difference a degree can make?

I left London yesterday and the trees were all in full bloom, the spring flowers were dying off, and the grass was sprouting. Janes Journey to St Lucia

WOW...................5 nights of paradise that felt like a week. The hotel I was fortunate to visit and stay for 5 nights was the Viceroy Sugar Beach formally known as the Jalousie Plantation. This hotel is set in its own rainforest to one side with the famous Pitons on the other. This hotel eludes so much space, offers golf, spa, good food and local hospitality.
